"It's like living in a tree house!" This luxury mountain vacation rental home is nestled in the Smoky Mountains on Lake Nantahala. At an elevation of 3200', Nantahala Lake is one of the highest mountain lakes east of the Rocky Mountains. The home features two large stone wood burning fireplaces with gas igniters. The floors are a combination of natural slate, wide plank heart of pine, and upgraded Berber carpet in the bedrooms. The kitchen counters are natural limestone and the master shower is all slate & glass block with four spray heads. The home's lighting plan boasts over 40 ceiling spots which are all on dimmers to provide a romantic night time atmosphere.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a convection oven and microwave oven. In addition, it has a 27 cubic ft frost free side by side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, gas range, and a Jenn-Aire griddle/grill. All cookware and utensils are provided. There is a very large gas grill as well as a charcoal grill located on the deck outside the kitchen. Enjoy meals outside on the decks as the hummingbirds entertain you... then choose between relaxing in the hammock, chaise lounges, or the rocking chairs.

The living room has an "audiophile's" stereo system with CD player and the kitchen/dining room has a satellite TV. The lower level has a surround sound home theater system which comes complete with a DVD and VHS library of over 40 movies. The ping pong table provides many hours of family fun.

Three of the four bedrooms have one queen size bed. The fourth bedroom has two sets of bunk beds with queens on the bottom and extra-long twins on top. There is also a sofa bed in the living area of the lower level. All of the linens and towels are provided, and for all of those laundry needs, an oversized washer and dryer are available as well.

Our "tree house" is perched overlooking Lake Nantahala. There is a 30' ramp to an oversized dock for all of your water activities. The water of Nantahala Lake is crystal clear and the temperature is wonderful for water sports, activities, and relaxation. A 26' high performance pontoon boat (seats 12) with a Suzuki 4-Stroke motor is available for rent to those who qualify. Life jackets are provided.
